SEAL Metrics Alternatives

SEAL Metrics Privacy-first Web Analytics is quite different from current competitors. At least at the time of making this post in October 2021.

There are several alternatives on the market such as Plausible Analytics and Fathom Analytics. But none like SEAL Metrics.

What do you need to consider when going with the SEAL Metrics competition?

Are they GPDR, CCPA, PECR, ePrivacy compliant?

Basically, SEAL is compliant with all regulations because we measure in an anonymous and non-individualized way, i.e., aggregated. All our data is aggregate. We do not measure customer journeys at any time. We never measure on an individualized basis

Pay special attention if our competitors are ePrivacy compliant. Look closely or you can ask directly:

“Does your Cookieless tool measure my visitors individually but anonymously?”

They will tell you that they measure anonymously, which is great! There is privacy, but they are not ePrivacy compliant, so they are not 100% privacy-first.

How do you know if a cookieless tracking solution measures individually?

There are metrics that can only be calculated on a case-by-case basis:

  • Bounce Rate: to know the bounce rate, you have to do it on a user-by-user basis. To do it on a user-by-user basis requires user consent.
  • Session Duration: same as bounce rate.
  • Page views: same as bounce rate.

If you look at SEAL metrics, although there have been clients who have asked us for it, we can’t offer those variables.

Another value that you should run away if you see it is:

  • Sessions by country: To know the geolocation, the IP is required. The IP is considered personal data.

It is all well and good to be privacy-first web analytics but we must be sure that our customers, you, are working with a solution that complies with all current regulations.

Data that provides business value

There is a substantial difference between us and our competitors: We are marketers and web analysts who have developed measurement tools for marketers. We are NOT technicians or developers.

What I mean by this is that the KPIs we offer at SEAL metrics exist to help the marketer make decisions. For example:

  • Turnover: Is it really useful a web analytics tool that does not measure what you have sold in terms of money?
  • Sales by Channel.
  • Data by days, weeks and months.

Currently, the only alternative to SEAL metrics is SEAL Metrics.

Currently, there is no tool that offers what SEAL offers. For this we show you this 2 min video:
